Isaiah 40, Isaiah 41:10-13, 1Peter 3

S.-28Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.

O.- His understanding is unsearchable, meaning, he knows more than I could imagine.

A.- I need to remind myself that God is in control. That while I may grow tired, I may think that there is nothing left to give, HE stands strong, HE is in control, HE gives power to the faint.

P.- Lord, help me use the power you give for your glory. Carry me when I am weak, Renew me with your love and spirit. Amen.

Deuteronomy 19; Deuteronomy 20; Deuteronomy 21; Galatians 3

S- 11Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.” 12But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.

O- “The righteous shall live by faith.” Living by faith in God and not by the laws of man is Gods commandment.

A- In today’s world of rampant sin we need to put our faith in God more than ever. I need to live a life following Gods laws and know that God will reward me in heaven.

P- God, Help me to live by faith in you. Amen

Deuteronomy 16; Deuteronomy 17; Deuteronomy 18; Psalm 38; Galatians 2

S- 20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

O- God gave himself for me, and the life I live now should be in his faith.

A- I need to live a life full of faith. Faith in the Lord our God and tell everyone in my path of his promise so that he can live in them and know his love.

P- God thank you for giving yourself for me. Thank you for living in me and the promise of heaven! I cant wait to see you return!

Who’s The Judge?

Deuteronomy 13; Deuteronomy 14; Deuteronomy 15; Galatians 1

S- 10For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

O- Pleasing man kind does not mean that you are a servant of Christ. Serving people for the approval of God makes us his servants.

A- I need to serve others for Gods approval, not to impress the people around me.

P- Lord, help me to serve others to show your love not to impress the ones around me. I hope to show your love to the people in my life. Thank you for your endless love. Amen

Deuteronomy 10; Deuteronomy 11; Deuteronomy 12; Mark 16

S- 12“And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13and to keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD, which I am commanding you today for your good?

O- All God ask of us is to love him with all our hearts, and to obey his commandments. These things are the things that are good for us!

A- I need to remember to love good and to follow his commands and desires for my life.

P- God, thank you for looking out for me. Thank you for loving me the way that you do. Help me to live a life that honors you and follows your commandments. Amen

Steadfast Love

Deuteronomy 7; Deuteronomy 8; Deuteronomy 9; Mark 15

S- 9Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,

O- What a great thing to know. In my times of weakness the thought of Gods love can be such a great thing.

A- I need to remember to keep Gods commandments and to love him and feel his steadfast love. Knowing that God loves me and will love me forever is a great feeling!

P- Thank you for your steadfast love. Help me to keep your commandments and forgive me for my sins. Amen

Testing 1.2.3.

Deuteronomy 5; Deuteronomy 6; Psalm 43; Mark 14

S- 16a “You shall not put the LORD your God to the test,…..

O- We are not suppose to push the limits, not to test God on his commandments, but to be far to the right side of the line. If we test God and push our sin as far as we can he will punish us.

A- Remembering that if I question if something is right or wrong its prob wrong, and to steer clear of sin. Not testing the boundries of what I can get away with.

P- God, help me to know right from wrong and to make good decisions in my life. Help me to not test your word, but to believe what you have said. Amen

Are You Awake?

Deuteronomy 3; Deuteronomy 4; Psalm 36; Mark 13

S- 37And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake.”

O- God says that we wont know the hour, the day , the minute, or the second that he will return to take us to the kingdom. He says to stay awake, to stay alert, that he could return at any time.

A- I need to tell people about God and his promise of heaven as if there was no tomorrow. For we don’t know what day could be our last opportunity. How many chances do I miss every day to tell someone about God?

P- Lord, help me to spread your word to as many as I can everyday so that others can be ready for your return. Amen

Love Them First

Deuteronomy 1; Deuteronomy 2; Mark 12

S- 30And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

O- God commanded that we love him first, but then our neighbors second. Not ourselves. Its hard to love your neighbors some times. I have neighbors that I can only love because God says so. I cant love them on my own.

A- Learning to love my neighbors. Learning that my needs do not always need to come first. I need to learn to love others with the same love that God has for me.

P- Lord, Help me to love others with the love that you have for me. I need to be better about putting the needs of others above my own. Amen

Numbers 34; Numbers 35; Numbers 36; Mark 11

S- 24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

O- Jesus told them that they need to believe when they ask something to God in prayer to believe that with God all things are possible. And to ask God for forgiveness of your sins against others.

A- Remembering to pray to God and let him know the things that are in my heart. And asking God to forgive the things that I have done against others so that he will love me the same.

P- Lord, Thank you for your forgiveness, help me to remember to talk to you and to have the faith that my prayers can be answered. Amen
